Eswatini admitted their representation of a minority on Saturday afternoon during a press conference at the Africa Union (AU).
The country was asked to come back on their abandoned clause reported earlier by Reuters and admitted being a part of a minority at the AU but highlighted the ignorance of most members on the danger China represents.
Kenya exposed Eswatini's ignorance on the benefits of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), thereby explaining Eswatini's opposition to an alliance with China.
Most members of the AU denounced Eswatini's lonely stance, blaming it for pushing back collaborations and agreements.
It appears clear that Eswatini stands alone, leading the country to make compromises as the debate approaches its finality.
